How to activate a PlayStation Portable system

To activate your PSP on the system itself:

  1. Connect your PlayStation Portable to the internet and go to [PlayStation Network] > [Account Management] and press (X button). You may need to sign in if you are not already signed in.
  2. Go to  [System Activation] and press (X button).
  3. Select the type of content you want to play on your PlayStation Portable, Game or Video, and press  (X button).
  4. Select 'Activate' and press  (X button).
  5. You will see a message to confirm that your device is now activated or to let you know that you have already reached your activation limit for the content type.
