    Star quality

Colourful, dazzling and sensational as ever, SingStar Guitar stays true to the SingStar series, providing you, your friends and your family with an entertaining and social singing experience that you can all get involved in.

If you own a PlayStation Eye camera, make sure you set it up to capture your star-studded performance. Once you've finished your set, you'll be able to check out your Golden Moments, Snapshots or view the full song and find out what you look like on stage. Golden Moments can be triggered by an enthusiastic guitarist tilting their instrument into the air. Upload your videos, pictures and audio playbacks onto My SingStar Online or for other users to take a look at, comment on and share on Facebook.

SingStar Guitar is packed with everything from classic anthems such as Under Pressure by Queen and David Bowie, to modern-day hits from Muse, Blur and Kaiser Chiefs. There are also loads more tracks coming to the SingStore for you to download and rock out to.

    The ultimate SingStar experience

SingStar Guitar provides you with an eclectic range of songs to sing along to, whilst also boasting the option to rock out with a guitar peripheral. The game offers players who don't fancy belting out a tune into the microphone an alternative way to get involved and experience SingStar's musical magic.

New to guitar games? Not a problem. Simply work your way through the interactive tutorial, carefully written, performed and recorded by musicians from the SingStar team. Follow the on-screen commands and learn how to perform everything from simple notes to golden riffs. Put yourself through your paces with a few of your favourite songs and you'll be a professional in no time. If you're not playing guitar, grab a Wireless SingStar Microphone and join in the performance.

You will be scored separately for your musical efforts, yet the game's main focus is on the combined skills of each player. If a guitarist misses some notes, it could really throw the singers and cause them to lose valuable points, encouraging maximum effort from all performers to ensure your band is awarded headliner status.

    Create your band

Up to four players can take to the stage together in SingStar Guitar in a variety of different modes, with up to two players singing and two playing guitar at the same time. You can go head-to-head in pairs in battle mode where you'll earn your own points for your team, but it's the combined score that will win you the match.

You can take on players from your friends list in online battle mode, rock out with them and watch their performance recorded through their PlayStation Eye camera. Any song from the SingStar Guitar tracklist can be used in a regular SingStar game, so you can even compete with up to seven other singers in pass the mic mode.

If you want to make some noise with non-competitive gameplay, or just fancy experiencing life in a band, co-operative mode is for you. Team up with three other players, grab two mics and two guitars and become the ultimate group.
