    Pitch perfect

Bruised pride after your favourite football team took a hammering? Feel like you need to settle the score? EA SPORTS FIFA Football on PlayStation Vita lets you take out your frustrations on the football pitch, wherever you are.

Each time you play, it’ll feel like a big match day thanks to a crisp, sparkling recreation of the sport on your PS Vita system’s 5-inch OLED screen. Every element is designed to crank up the intensity before kick-off – from the floodlights blazing high above to the massed ranks of telephoto lenses nestling behind each goal. You’ll run on to the pitch pumped up and ready to express yourself.

Crucial to the game’s atmosphere are the stadiums and kits of a huge number of clubs; all are accurate even down to the team badges adorning shirts. Squad rosters, too, are kept current with regular updates via your system’s wireless connection, so whenever a squad member is sold, added or struck down by injury, it’ll be reflected in the game.

Trophy support appears in a portable EA SPORTS FIFA game for the first time, while commentary, crowd noises and even the stadium announcer add the finishing touches. Step outside and into the game with EA SPORTS FIFA Football on PS Vita.

    Great first touch

Accessible yet deeply rewarding, EA SPORTS FIFA Football on PS Vita does away with the sport’s cardinal outfield rule to let you use your hands. Pass, shoot and take command of the pitch using instinctive touchscreen and rear touch pad controls to dizzy your opponent and thrill the crowd.

Slide your finger across your PS Vita system’s touchscreen to thread a pinpoint through ball into the space in front of a striker, or tap your intended player to play a straightforward pass to his feet. Then, picture the rear touch pad as the goal itself and hit your desired spot to smash the ball into the net.  Traditional play is also perfectly possible using the action buttons and the dual analog sticks.

Prove your championship credentials in Career Mode, where you can take a tilt at glory as a player, manager or player-manager – if you think you can stay at the top for 15 seasons. Create a player in your own image to fight for top honours in Be a Pro Mode. Or hone your skills in Tournament, Kick Off or Training Modes, all packed with responsive, intelligent gameplay.

The beauty of football is that you can have a kick around almost whenever you feel like it, and with EA SPORTS FIFA Football on PS Vita, you don’t even need to get changed first.

    Get onside online

EA SPORTS FIFA Football’s computer-controlled teams will chase and harry you every step of the way – yet even greater challenges lie in wait online.

Sign in to PlayStation Network and you can take part in Head to Head Mode, where you’ll find players of similar skill levels to yourself, ready to fight tooth and nail for every blade of grass. You can also send messages to defeated rivals through the game’s LiveArea, although you can expect similar messages back when your tactical master plan fails.

LiveArea is also a great way to communicate with mates to set up matches, arrange fixtures in your own Friends League, or simply exchange tips and special moves. You might have seen someone pull off a spectacular Cruyff turn, for instance, and wonder how to add it to your own arsenal – EA SPORTS FIFA Football’s LiveArea lets you ask other players for their advice.

Get online and get involved, whether you want to talk about your passion or put it to the test against the most competitive players on the planet.
