Find out how to save games when playing PS Now on PS5, PS4 or PC and how to transfer saves between streamed and downloaded PS Now games.
PS Now saved data works differently depending on whether you are streaming or playing a downloaded game.
If you are streaming a PS Now game, the saved data will be stored within the PlayStation Now application. You can pick up your stream on another device and continue your game without taking any other steps.
If you are playing a downloaded PS Now game, the save data will be saved to your PS5™ or PS4™ console storage.
Playstation®Plus cloud storage acts as a middle ground between the two save types. Saved data is not automatically transferred between streamed and downloaded games. Transfer saved data from your streamed PS Now game to your downloaded PS Now game (or vice versa) to continue where you left off.
First, upload your saved data to PlayStation Plus cloud storage:
PS5
Once the PS Now save file is in cloud storage, download it from the cloud on another device to carry on playing:
PS5
Highlight the application in Library > press the options button > Upload/Download Saved Data.
Select the game saved data and select Download.
