Find out how to save your games on PlayStation Now, the multiplayer options available on the service, and which PlayStation™Network features are compatible with PS Now.
If you are streaming a PS Now game, the saved data will be stored in the PS Now application. If you are playing a downloaded PS Now game, your saved data is stored on your PS5™ or PS4™ console storage. Saved data is not automatically transferred between streamed and downloaded games.
To keep your existing game progress when switching between the streamed and downloaded versions of a PlayStation Now game, you'll need to transfer the saved data using Playstation®Plus cloud storage.
If you are playing a PS Now game that includes online multiplayer modes, you'll be able to access these just as you would if you owned the game on disc or download. Playstation®Plus is not required for PS Now online multiplayer.
Local multiplayer is supported on compatible PS Now games, but is limited to two players on PC.
Downloaded PS Now games on PS5 and PS4 support Party chat, the create button (share button on PS4) and Share Play features.
Streamed games on PS Now support Party chat.
Game add-ons and DLC can't be used when streaming a PS Now game. However, we always try to make sure that the best possible versions of games are available on PlayStation Now as soon as possible.
You can purchase and use DLC and add-on content with games downloaded from PlayStation Now. If your PlayStation Now subscription expires, you will lose access to the game and any associated DLC and add-on content. If you re-subscribe to PlayStation Now, or purchase the game, you will be able to use your purchased DLC and add-on content again.
Trophies earned while playing a game on PlayStation Now are saved to the cloud in real time. These will appear in your Trophies list when you sync them with PlayStation Network.
