Payment methods accepted on PlayStation Store

Find out which credit cards, debit cards and alternative payment methods can be used to top up your PSN wallet.

 
 

Each adult PSN account has a wallet which is used to make online purchases. Each wallet can hold a maximum of £120.00.

You can use the following payment methods to top up your PSN wallet:

 
 

Please note:

  • Visa Electron debit cards cannot be used for wallet top ups. 
  • If you are having issues registering a PayPal account, please follow the PayPal troubleshooting guide.

Information for PS3 and PSP users

Please note that as of October 2016 the only payment methods accepted if you are using a PS3 system are:

  • Credit/Debit Card
  • PayPal

If you want to use an alternative payment method to purchase content for PS3, please access PlayStation Store via a web browser.

Please note that from 31st May 2018 it will no longer be possible to add, edit or remove credit or debit card information on a PSP (PlayStation Portable) system.

PlayStation Store is no longer available on PSP systems.
