Fortnite support on PlayStation 4

Find out how V-Bucks refunds, Epic Games account security and age restrictions work when playing on PlayStation Network (PSN).

As with any popular multiplayer title, there are some important steps to take before jumping into the world of Fortnite. Please consider the following commonly-asked questions and security features which will help keep your Fortnite experience both safe and enjoyable:

How do I resolve Fortnite technical issues?

If you are having issues with your Epic Games account such as the loss of game data or V-Bucks not appearing, please visit the Epic Games support centre for guides and contact info.

PlayStation support channels are unable to assist with Epic Games account issues.

Is Fortnite age restricted?

Yes  — Fortnite is rated PEGI 12 for frequent scenes of mild violence. Changing the parental controls will not allow access for children under the age of 12.

Is PS Plus required to play Fortnite?

No — all that is required to play Fortnite Battle Royale mode is an internet connection and a PlayStation Network account.

What are V-Bucks and who can buy them?

If you would like to know more about how V-Bucks work, how they are purchased and how child accounts are able to buy them, please visit our step-by-step V-Bucks guide.

Can I get a refund for a V-Bucks purchase?

Epic Games has a self-service cosmetic return tool which allows you to return three non-consumable cosmetic items per account in exchange for their V-bucks value.

PlayStation Store refunds can only be given in line with the PlayStation Store cancellation policy. V-bucks are in-game consumables and will only be refunded if faulty.

Is my Fortnite account secure?

As one of the most popular multiplayer games on PSN, Fortnite is a target for hackers aiming to gain access to personal information and payment details. Please check the following guides for advice on how to keep your Fortnite experience safe.
