Capture Gallery Problems Return?

Created 20/06/2019

Capture Gallery problems have returned. The past problems with Capture Gallery seemed to have been fixed recently with a system update. However I was back to looking at a blank screen on my PS4 when I tried accessing some screenshots yesterday! Today I was able to get one video up and running for Odyssey, but only after powering down the system and restarting it a few minutes later. When I tred to look at the screenshots for Odyssey I'm back to a blank screen again. I tested all the other screenshots and videos for all the other games I have, only to be presented with the same blank screen. In short it seems that your tempoary patch job has clearly not fixed the problem properly.

I can't say I've ever experienced problems with the Capture Gallery, what were the "past problems" you mention?

What, if anything, have you tried to fix it yourself so far?

    Does everything else work?

Its always been that ubisoft game issue...

They may have told SIE that there own patch fixed it when actualy ubisoft did no such thing to rework there photo mode and there photo mode is still broken...

The games old and on clearence now so SIE might have removed the firmware side fix and may force Ubisoft to finaly fix it in there game code...

    Yep, Ubi.

The capture gallery is just fine.

As Graphite says, it's Ubi's games that cause a problem, not the gallery itself.

This error has been fixed but you must delete the capture gallery folder for Assassin's Creed Odyssey if it contains images from before the fix was rolled out, so basically if there's any images in the Assassin's Creed Odyssey capture gallery folder from before December 2018 then that entire folder needs deleting.

If it's a Ubisoft problem why is that I cannot see any screenshots of other games in the Gallery?

Over the last couple of days, I have discovered that if I select to see a screenshot first, all I get is a blank screen and any video selected also shows a blank screen.

If on the other hand I select to watch a video first, they play as normal. On watching four videos back to back I went to select a trophy screenshot for God of War. Nothing but a blank screen! Furthermore going back to videos again I've nothing but a blank screen.. again!

The only way I've found to watch videos is to leave the Gallery for a short period and then return to it the get videos to play. Or simply go to the Gallery to select a video and avoid attempting to look at any screenshots.

Because their bug affects other folders in the capture gallery as well.

Mont has already explained the way around it.

The bug only appears after opening the Assassin's Creed Odyssey capture gallery folder then it effects other capture folders, after a system restart the capture gallery works perfectly fine as long as you don't open the Assassin's Creed Odyssey capture gallery folder.

Like I mentioned above this problem has been fixed but you must delete the entire Assassin's Creed Odyssey capture gallery folder if it contains any images before the fix rollout.
