It is unreasonable for a game to vanish in the store without being notified why it is not there anymore it is deplorable

For business reasons, the title was removed for sale, but it continues to be available to play for customers that purchased already.

Games can sometimes be removed from the PlayStation Store at the request of the publisher, however I find it strange in this case with Fifa 18 as Fifa 15,16 and 17 are still available.

I will try and find out what's happening.

I have to agree,  I suspect it's not been removed intentionally given the previous versions are still available.

Well, there we go. It's rare that happens but it sometimes does.

It's wasn't Sony"s decision it was made by the request of the publisher EA.

I spoke to a EA salesman by the name of Ashish he told me to call Playstation there is no such thing as EA telling PSN to remove it plus the game is available for XBOX360 and PS3 on the EA website.

The guy from EA is talking utter rubbish and passing the blame as usual back to PSN like EA always do.

It was EA's and only EA's decision to remove the content for a business reason which obviously means they want to stop customers purchasing PS3 games and start purchasing games for the newer systems such as the PS4, XB1 and Switch, the PS3 and XB360 will not be getting a Fifa 20 release this year so it's obvious that EA is winding down support.

It's also been removed from X box market place and some previous Fifa games have been removed from the Google play store.

EA is about to release its monthly rental service on PS4.. They will be relicensing there game content with that in mind xbox won't have the rental service as exclusive any more ...

If games are not available to buy but only to rent youll be forced to join the rental system to play those titles on PS4... As each titles licensing comes up for renew, to purchase could be dropped to make it rental ownly via EA access that releases NEXT month..

Why not remove the older titles like FIFA 15 or FIFA 16

Once again, you'd  have to ask EA that, though the post above yours probably covers it.
