Unable to upload video to Facebook - Error CE-42555-1

Created 24/03/2018

Hi there,

I've been trying to share my recordings to FB from my PSN since the start of the year, but have been unable to. The upload bar completes, but when it's "processing", an error occurs and says that upload failed. When I check the log, the error it gives me is a CE-42555-1. Now I've tried everything from deleting notifications to re-linking my FB account but none of that works!

Any help would be much appreciated... someone please tell me I'm not the only one experiencing this.

You’re definitely not the only one, I’ve posted and will continue to post on every topic where someone is having this issue because there seems to be no information or a fix for it anywhere. This started happening like 2 days ago, I upgraded to the PS4 Pro a couple of weeks ago and I never had this problem on my slim. I’ve literally have done everything, short of formatting the damn stupid console. This doesn’t make any sense.

Same thing happened to about 6 of my videos simultaneously. I had to report it to Facebook and after apologizing and accepting it wasn't spam they took 3 of them down again for the same reason. I'm rather annoyed

I'm having the same issue. Quick question, did you upload any videos with "cut-scene" or music to your FB feed?

And NO ONE knows why this is happening? What’s  the purpose of specifically coding an error, if no one knows what the eff that error means? Also everyone with this issue should go to their System settings, and make sure your error messages are automatically sent to Sony, so they know immediately how much they’re failing us.

UPDATE, UPDATE, here is what I got from a tech

With the PS4 completely turned off, press and hold the power button on the front panel. Release it after you've heard two beeps: one when you first press, and another 7 seconds later. Once the menu is displayed, connect the DualShock 4 controller with a USB cable and press the PS button on the controller.
Once in safe mode please select option 5 rebuild database.

I have not tried that one, rebuilding the DataBase.

I can post from same PS4 with a different PSN account to Facebook.

So I can't upload any Far Cry 5 videos and I been talking PS4 support... looks like FaceBook is blocking..

Me:everything is uploading fine except Far Cry 5 video.
Alfredo:Thank you for the information, then if that doesn't do it, BKNY79, also check restrictions you could have on Facebook that might be restricting you to upload the Far Cry 5 video on it.
Me:" restrictions you could have on Facebook " ???? where would I check that ????
Alfredo:I recommend you to contact Facebook about it, since we don't have more information; and they should guide you through it.

    Facebook might be blocking content.

Same error when trying to upload Monster Hunter videos. I also had the issue mentioned above where Facebook marked a bunch of my previously uploaded PSN videos as spam and removed them, though they were later restored.

I don't know if this is related to the other issues Facebook has been having this month, but this definitely sounds like a problem on their end.

Hey  I'll have to try that method u got from the Sony tech guys later but yes it could be possible FB is blocking content. The funny thing is, if you upload it manually (via transfer to a drive and then to a PC upload), it works fine AND FB doesn't delete it. I think Sony needs to work this out ASAP with FB

I think, PS4 is tagging product when you upload, I'm talking to FB to see if that is the case. Also like  posted that his posts were flagged as spam.
