Okay, the problem arises because of the licence for the demo version, which then prevents you from purchasing the full game.

The only way I am aware of to resolve this is to contact customer support who will be able to remove/refresh the demo licence allowing you to then purchase the full game.

You can contact them via Twitter @AskPS_UK or @AskPS_ANZ or via phone.

    I have this exact issue.

ive deleted the demo. The saves and I have restored my PS4 however it still says that I own this game even though it's not in my library.

It would be really nice if this problem was solved as I really want to download the Full Version. And also do we need playstation plus to play with our friends on cross platform?

    Hello all.

I am in Australia and experiencing the exact same problems.

I deleted Minecraft from my ps4, and when I try to purchase again, I keep getting a message that I already own this game.

    sad ........,

Yes. PlayStation Plus is required for multiplayer. Whether that's with PS4 players or cross platform. A Microsoft account is also required for cross play (just the free account, not a Gold sibscription).

Which platform of the store have you all tried? Console, PC, mobile app? Sometimes the different versions of the store can act differently and work or not work. And we can also see if it's just a particular version of the store having this issue, or all versions.

Exact same thing happening to me in Australia also. Please fix this and let us know what to do! I'm trying to reward my son with the full version because he has been so good.

UPDATE... got in touch with them on Twitter and long story short gave me a refund on the demo so that I could purchase the full game.

Just chiming in to say "same here". I tried the demo when it was still "PlayStation 4 Edition", decided to wait until the rumored cross-play, then tried to unlock the full game this morning, and unknowingly bought this:

thinking it would accomplish that, but it's not working and I'm still seeing "Unlock Full Game" in the main menu.

I needed to contact support to get this issue resolved and they told me that the demo should be "refunded" (basically reverted the download and removed from library), and after they did that. I was able to purchase Minecraft.

I may have a solution to this, I don't know if it works properly but it should in theory, I'm having the same problem on my main account, but if you could make a second account, buy minecraft on there, then activate that as primary, you should be able to play on your main account, there are problems with this like license issues for your main account etc. But would this method work?
