Getting error code CE-43477-5 Madden 19

Created 13/08/2019

I keep getting an error code when trying to start Madden 19, code CE-43477-5.

I downloaded the game after getting EA Access and have had no problems with the game until now, all my other games including one's purchased through EA Access are still working fine, only Madden 19.

My playstation, and EA Access are all up to date.

I really don't want to uninstall and reinstall Madden 19 as it is a huge file to download.

The PSN website help section with error codes and games is completely useless and provides no help whatsoever, I've never encountered a website/company except EA who want to restrict members access to contacting them as much as Playstation.

Quite a few via a Google search are having problems with this game and appears to be some kind of licence issue and the usual fixes are not working.

I think it maybe an idea to contact customer support and get them to look at your purchase content licences to see if anything can be done?!/contact-us/

Have exactly the same problem. Need for speed which i downloaded via EA access is still working fine but NBA 19 live gives me the same error code. I've restored the licenses and reset my PS4 but with no luck. What is odd is when I try and launch the game through the EA access app it says not available for purchase and then once i click on it, it says that i cannot purchase the product as I already own NBA 19 live.

I contacted PlayStation who went through a few things before telling me it is an EA issue. EA just told me to update my PS4 which i already had and then basically switch it off and on again. They then forwarded on a link to PlayStation customer support and the PlayStation error codes page. Only problem is the link they provided showed they were inputting the wrong error code. The error code we are getting doesn't show up on their site.

Basically PlayStation and EA haven't got a clue whats wrong and they don't seem to interested in fixing it

I’ve been having the same issue with both NBA Live and UFC 3. Try first going to Settings > Account Management > Restore Licenses.

If it still isn’t working after this click on the game itself and press see in store. This will direct you to the game hub in the PlayStation store. It will give you the option of ‘Download’. Once clicking on this you will get the message ‘........ is already installed’ then the game should start normally and the problem should no longer occur.

    Hope this helps :)
