Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary Purchase Issue

Created 09/06/2019

I'm unable to purchase the free DLC add-on "Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary" because the PS store thinks I don't own the Handsome Collection. I do own it. On disc. I've tried on the web store and the store app on the console. Get your finger out, Sony.

ok, ignore the below, I just had a couple of people try that and it doesn't even appear in the "Downloadable content" section, only the UHD pack is there.

It's been passed on so hopefully will get fixed sooner rather than later.

Did you try from the game menu?

There's an update 1.06, make sure that's installed, start the game up, then try via the BL2 menu >  Downloadable Content

Just want to weigh in on this convo. I too own the Handsome Collection on disc and I can't get the dlc either.

That said I uninstalled my game and now it won't let me reinstall - corrupt data. Very frustrating. What should I do, every time I try I have to re download the HUGE update file. *edit, reinstalled fine, tho still no update

@Oran_Gina: I know better to not do the obvious before posting.

The obvious being (for those not in the know):
    - Primary deactivation, then re-activation.
    - Restoring of content licences.
    - Re-starting the console after doing the above.
    - Making sure the game is up to date on the patch front, 1.06 was installed before I tried to "buy" the new add-on on the web store and the store app on the console itself.
    - Try using in-game store. The in-game store only lists the texture pack, as your edited mentions. Oddly, though, the in-game store says the texture pack is not installed, when the add-on tab for the game and the app store both say it's installed, and I know it's installed because I took before and after screenshots for comparison purposes at the time. So, go figure.

This issue now appears to have been fixed. Downloaded this evening.

    Hi All,

I’m having the exact same issues. Tried reactivate as primary device, refreshed licences and I too have the same issue with the Ultra HD Tex.

Looking forward to an update from Sony on this.

Hi, ok, well. something looks broken and is still being looked into, but there is hope for anyone who has PlayStation Plus.

Add the digital version to your library (no need to download). You'll then have a licence for the digital version so the store knows you own it. You can then download it for the disc version.

I just had one of the people with disc installation I mentioned earlier try it, and it worked.

Of course, that's just a workaround, and only of use if you subscribe to Plus.

Still waiting to hear re any proper fix on the store.

Not sure if you've found your own solution yet, but someone posted something on the Gearbox forums which may be of some use to you (Worked for me):

I have found a way to download the DLC. This method doesn’t require ps plus ,or a digital copy of the game. Go to the ps store, then select borderlands the handsome collection. Select the ps plus version of the game It will bring you to a different screen to buy ps plus. Press the back bottom borderlands will now be in your cart. Now go back to the store select the DLC and you will be able to download it."

I followed that on my PS4 and it worked perfectly, just deleted The Handsome Collection out of my basket afterwards.

    Hope this helps :)
