Space saga

What do you get when an evil mastermind's plan to destroy his three biggest enemies goes horribly wrong? You get a massive - and wacky - space-bound adventure featuring the unlikely partnership of Ratchet, Clank, Captain Qwark and the wicked Dr Nefarious. And things are only about to get weirder...

Set after Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One on PlayStation 3 thrusts you into a hilarious and unforgettable journey. The frantic foursome has been kidnapped and dumped on the planet Magnus by a mysterious being called the Creature Collector.

The only way they can escape is to help each other find their captor and a way back home. So Lombax mechanic Ratchet and his robotic buddy Clank unwillingly team up with the bumbling Qwark and untrustworthy Nefarious for a quest full of action and comedy - whether it goes smoothly is entirely up to you...

Time to shine

With its high quality, cartoon style visuals, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One is a great attention grabber. The colourful and likeable characters are wonderfully crafted, making you feel like you're controlling the cast of a big screen animated movie.

As Ratchet and his partners dash around the massive and varied environments you'll witness spaceships zipping by, strange looking creatures and exotic plant life. Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One is a universe of wonders, waiting for you to discover its delights. And everything you encounter leaps off the screen, even more so if you have a compatible TV to experience the dazzling stereoscopic 3D effects.

Rounding off Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One's superb graphics is a suitably epic score and some brilliantly entertaining voice acting. Between Clank's charming robotic voice and Dr Nefarious's evil cackle, you'll never tire of the constantly vocal characters.

Four times the fun

It's a madcap mission of mirth and mayhem - welcome to Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One. What awaits you is an adventure jam-packed with fiendish brain-teasers, explosive action and the comedy that comes from an unlikely alliance.

With Ratchet, Clank, Captain Qwark and Dr Nefarious forced to team up for the first time, your opening task is to choose which character you wish to play as. Up to four players can join in at any time, with a computer-controlled partner tagging along with you if three friends aren't available.

The gameplay is fun and engaging as you tackle puzzles that can only be solved with teamwork and combine your weapons to blast through the toughest foes. Don't worry if you feel slightly overwhelmed by the crazy arsenal you'll accumulate through your journey - each gadget comes with a handy tutorial to help you master it.

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One is so full of ideas and imagination that every second is a joy to play. One minute you're using your Swingshot to cross yawning chasms, the next you're steering an Air Taxi through a city full of traffic with a giant Z'Grute monster looking to have you for lunch. How about surfing on giant cable coils? Or using altered gravity to float your way across platforms?

There's so much to do in Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One that you can be safe in the knowledge that boredom is galaxies away.

With friends like these…

While you can play with a computer-controlled partner in the single player mode of Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, if you want to capture the spirit of the game, bring three friends to the party. With you and your mates jostling for glory, the game becomes a side-splitting adventure where anything can happen.

Each player takes control of Ratchet, Clank, Captain Qwark and Dr Nefarious and then pushes to complete levels either side by side or causing as much mayhem and confusion as possible. Some puzzles and enemies can only be overcome with co-ordinated teamwork - however, you can have plenty of fun pushing each other off platforms, throwing each other around and seeing who can get the most bolts at the end of each level.

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One is perfectly suited to multiplayer with the ability to play together offline when you have three friends around your place or online via PlayStation Network. There's plenty of replay value as well, as you can retry each stage to battle it out for the top score, or enjoy a variety of cheats that become available once you've completed the game.
