In the world of motorcycle racing, MotoGP is the zenith of competition, the Formula One for all things two-wheeled. It's a sport that's rapidly attracting increasing numbers of devotees year on year who are drawn to the exhilaration of races in which participants can reach speeds nearing 300km/hr.
Now, those racing engineers at Namco have fine-tuned its amazing simulation of this dynamic and breathtaking sport for a fourth, and still PlayStation 2-exclusive, MotoGP game.
Fine tuned and brought up to speed, MotoGP4's new additions and refinements do not disappoint. New classes make a debut with the introduction of 250cc and 125cc bikes and riders, opening up further the already expansive game options. This newfound breadth is capitalised upon with MotoGP4's new training mode and season management features.
The team rosters are like a roll call of honour, covering the brightest and best of today's riders in all three classes. Featured faces include legendary MotoGP riders like Valentino Rossi and Sete Gibernau, and up-and-coming talent in 250cc and 125cc like Daniel Pedrosa and Joan Olivé. All of the official teams are also correct and present, with fully-licensed bikes from (among others) Ducati, Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha to compete on.
If you fancy proving your bike skills against real opponents, the option to race head-to-head with three friends via a Multitap is still there as a fun distraction from the challenging MotoGP season.
