Created 14/08/2019
20 Replies

Hello!

OK last week we looked backwards, it's only right this week we look forwards into the second half of 2019.

  • What game(s) are you most looking forward to coming out later this year?
  • Is there any game in particular that's shot to the top of your list recently?
  • How are you feeling about this year's new Call of Duty and it's return to Modern Warfare?
  • Which 2019 PlayStation exclusive you're most looking forward to?

Sound off in the comments.

Control caught my attention when it was first shown off (E3 last year?). Lost me when they showed more (TGS I think?) but got me very interested again with the trailer they released during E3 this year. Definitely one I'm keen on.

Man of Medan looks cool. Looks like something I need to buy some new brown trousers for?

Concrete Genie looks really fun. Another one that caught my attention from the start. And has managed to hold it.

Death Stranding, obviously. It's Hideo Kojima. And looks amazing.

Cooncrete Genie and Death Stranding are the key ones for me. Probably actually looking forward to Concrete Genie more.

I'm most excited for Doom Eternal, and interested to try Control. Concrete Genie is another game that I was really interested in when they showed it, while I got more excited for MediEvil after playing Crash again and having an expectation to what a remake can be like. There is a game called No Straight Roads that I think is supposed to come out this year and it's on my list as well.

I played Code Vein when the Network test was going on and it is in the middle for me, I was excited for it and playing it was fun but it put things into perspective for me.

As for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, I don't usually play COD games and the last one I played was MW2. Haven't really thought about playing the new one.

PlayStation exclusive I am anticipating the most in 2019 gotta be MediEvil. Beyond 2019 it would be Ghost of Tsushima

Borderlands 3 mostly, for some cool co-oping & looting action.

MediEvil as the other PS1 remakes have been pretty goos so far, and enjoyed playing this game back-when. will be fun to see hows its changed and what we remember xD.

and CoD:MW is looking nice, so might go for that for some MP gunning.

lots of other good games coming out that can fit inbetween too :D.

    @Gavsta72

I always wanted to play Contrast since I saw it as part of PS+ games and still haven't. I got my PS4 a month later and missed on it.

Control sounded interesting to start with but I've kind of gone off of it now.

Which really only leaves ghost recon as one of the potentially interesting games left this year. The survival aspect of it just sounds like a interesting twist to the game.

In order of most looking forward to:

    • Ghost Recon: Breakpoint
    • Concrete Genie
    • Death Stranding
    • Borderlands 3
    • Control

Breakpoint shot to top of the list when it was announced several months back.

No interest in Call of Duty this year. Went off the series after Black Ops 2. More Battlefield please!

Aha I couldn't post the other day for some reason but it seems fixed now.

I am looking forward to a few, this year seems to be very back loaded for me.

The Outer Worlds - it's basically fallout new vegas 2 but not actually fallout, or hopefully stupidly glitchy. What's not to be excited about?

Code Vein - anime dark souls!

Death stranding I am very interested in, do I just dive in blind or wait and see which side of masterpiece/self indugent nonsense it falls on is what I'm wondering right now.

I don't know about star wars: fallen order. I am very hopefull but I'm not going to take a punt and be dissapointed, I will wait and maybe get in a sale. Unless it is the second coming of KOTOR. EA will probably EA it up though.

Borderlands 3 combined with my out of control pile of games backlog I won't need to purchase another game this side of the PS5 launch. 😄

A game that jumped out of nowhere to me yesterday is Raging Loop when a 18th October release date was announced for it.

A psychological horror visual novel that takes place in a Japanese village, kinda gave me Danganronpa vibes.
