The story

On the distant planet Rubicon 3, a mysterious new substance was discovered. Humanity misguidedly attempted to use it to advance their own technological and communications abilities, but instead caused a cosmic catastrophe.

The planet and surrounding stars have since been engulfed in flames and storms, forming the Burning Star System.

Almost 50 years following the incident, Rubicon 3 has been sealed off, while corporations and other factions fight relentlessly to gain control of the substance.
