Sony Interactive Entertainment (“SIE”) is committed to providing consumers with information regarding their available service options should their PlayStation products necessitate service. Within Quebec, please see the list below, which indicates the services made available to consumers for applicable PlayStation products.
Original purchasers of genuine PlayStation products are provided a limited hardware warranty. For information on the limited hardware warranty for your product, please see here, under which you may be entitled to new or certified refurbished replacement products, at SIE’s sole discretion.
Where consumers in Quebec desire a repair or hardware support that is not covered by their limited hardware warranty, SIE, at its sole discretion, may provide an Out of Warranty (OOW) service which is an exchange service that consists of SIE providing you with a certified refurbished product in exchange for your original PlayStation product upon payment of the OOW fee. OOW services are available for the following products:
Video Game Consoles: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro
PS VR2
PlayStation Portal
Certified Refurbished products are not made available for other products outside of in-warranty replacements. SIE does not make available replacement parts, repair services, or repair instructions for PlayStation products.
For no cost, updates to system software or firmware, including security updates, will be released for SIE products from time to time, which are necessary for the proper functioning of the product. As they are made available, you will be notified about these new system software or firmware updates. SIE strongly recommends always installing the latest update as soon as possible after the update is released.
