Explore an open world and make choices that have an impact

After a powerful biotechnology was legalized in 2048 in Canada, the Cult of the Symbiote forced their way in as regulators in the Maritimes. Despite their presentation as protectors and healers, the Cult has ruined many lives with their ambitions. As tensions escalate and boiling points are reached, lines will blur, gray areas will clash and the shadow group Gachduine will make choices that have a very real impact for Nova Scotia...

Major choices will change the story, available characters, quests and final battles. The open world allows access to cities across Nova Scotia at any time, world map dungeons (with many rare weapons as a reward) and social situations to strengthen relationships with your allies and attend events with them.

The addition of a brand new questline in Newfoundland's Avalon Peninsula adds new factions, quests, dungeons and social situations, expanding on just how much further the conflict will go.

The kindest of falsehoods

After decades of abuse and disasters from public handling of the advanced biotechnology, Skylight Symbiote, the Cult of the Symbiote believes it is their job to regulate and control its usage after its legalization. With the perspective that they are the only ones who know how to properly handle Skylight Symbiote, the Cult of the Symbiote began making public appeals and enlisted aid from celebrities and politicians to spread the word that they are an open and positive influence for Nova Scotia, despite signs of espionage, brutality and murder.

Many groups had surfaced in response to the Cult's attempts at taking control of the province. The Ceannduine repeatedly attempt to counter the Cult's indirect approach with open violence, and two Cape Breton groups, the Crimsons and Golds, formed to counter the Cult of the Symbiote's boycotting of their charities and businesses, ended up mainly fighting among themselves. The military Sentinels try to keep a watch on these conflicts, but due to the Cult's political reach, do not have the resources to make an impact. The ineffective or violent methods of these groups end up making the Cult of the Symbiote look peaceful and effective by comparison, causing their following to grow.

The Gachduine

One group attempts to put a stop to the Cult by discrediting them and revealing them for what they are: the Gachduine. Unlike other groups, they do what they can to keep themselves from the public eye and avoid letting innocents, whether in the Cult or not, get caught up in the conflict. However, as the conflict reaches boiling point, it may be the Gachduine's choices that change everything...

Choices that matter

Between choosing the setting's past in New Game and a major choice in the Main Quest, the story can change entirely and affect the final battle, the ending, and which of the 23 playable characters appear in the story and are available for use by the end of the game. City side quests all have choices that eventually add up to bring forward 1 of 3 ultimate side quests.

The Avalon Peninsula

The addition of a new questline at Newfoundland's Avalon Peninsula adds even more content and shows just how far-reaching the conflict in the Maritimes has become.

Plentiful playstyles

Aside from customizing both characters and teams for combat, stealth, traps, summoning, and more, the 20 weapon types change up the way characters are played even more, with two-person Battering Rams, distance fighting Rifles, traps in the form of C4 and exploding Barrels, Shields to cover allies and Hover Staves for launching enemies into the air, among many others.

Explore an open world

A majority of cities and locations are available for exploration at any point after the first quest, including dungeons scattered throughout the world map that reward the player with many rare weapons per dungeon.

Expand your character's social life

Your allies can be contacted socially, and your character can become friends and enter relationships with them, as well as attend events and do group activities with multiple allies.
