FREEDIVER: Triton Down plunges you into a capsizing research ship, the Triton, where survival means outmaneuvering the water's lethal surge.

Ren Tanaka is a freediver, capable of swimming to incredible depths without the use of oxygen or equipment. Together with her eccentric mentor, Dr. Lindstrom, Ren's skills allow her to explore the most remote underwater locales on the planet and unearth their secrets. A close call on her last dive has kept Ren landlocked for months, but when Lindstrom calls on her to help him with his latest deep sea discovery, one thing is clear: whatever they found has never been seen by humanity before.

The Extended Cut, reshaped from the ground up for console VR, expands the world of FREEDIVER while building on the underwater magic that made its original release great.

As one of the newly expanded areas, a section of the sinking ship has been plunged into darkness, adding an extra layer of challenge to your heart-racing escape. Use the powerful flashlight to swim your way through the murk, but be careful—only lightning reflexes and quick thinking will help you to solve the puzzles you encounter, and escape the dangers in the deep.

Finally, the Extended Cut boasts a deeper story, including lost audio logs of the Triton crewmembers’ final days aboard. Are their fates sealed? What caused the rogue wave that sent the Triton plummeting to the ocean floor? And who—or what—is the mysterious specimen named Emi?
