How to download apps for music streaming on PS5™ consoles
- Select All Apps from your media home.
- Select Spotify or Apple Music.
- Select Download.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to log in to your account for Spotify or Apple Music, or to sign up for a new account.

How to stream music and podcasts on PS5 consoles
- Press the PS button to open the control centre and select Music.
- Select a song, album, playlist or podcast and then select Play to play it.
The music or podcast that is playing appears as a card in the control centre. You can use playback functions such as pause, fast forward, and fast rewind.
- To switch between music streaming services, select Music sources.
- Use your wireless controller or the dedicated media remote (CFI-ZMR series, sold separately) to control playback functions. Playback button assignments for your wireless controller appear on the card of the media being played.
- Experience enhanced sound for your music and podcasts by customising your audio output device settings, choosing your preferred volume level and more.
How to stream music and podcasts during PS5 console gameplay
- Press the PS button to open the control centre and then select Music.
Your recently played music and podcasts appear. - Choose the music or podcast that you want to play.
Your selection starts playing.
- The song or podcast that's playing appears as a card in the control centre. Select the card to pause and access other playback controls. Press the PS button to return to the game that you were playing.
- Select the Now Playing card from the control centre and press the square button on your controller to pause and start track playback.
- While in a game or an app, you can press the PS button twice to return to your most recent card without going through the control centre.
