“FIA Certified Gran Turismo™ Championships 2020 (Part 2)” Competition
ASIA/OCEANIA Region
Competition and Entry Requirements
1. The FIA Certified Gran Turismo™ Championships 2020 (Part 2) competition (“Competition”) consists of two (2) different championships (each a “Championship”):
a. FIA GT Championships Nations Cup (hereafter referred to as the “Nations Cup”): The Nations Cup is a championship in which countries and territories will compete for victory. The country and territory of a player's affiliation will be automatically decided by the country/territory of their account for PSN. There are no restrictions on the country of origin of the cars that will be driven; and
b. FIA GT Championships Manufacturer Series (hereafter referred to as the “Manufacturer Series”): The Manufacturer Series is a championship in which Entrants race using cars made by one type of manufacturer. Entrants will race to be the best racers for their manufacturer and will then race to beat Entrants who represent other manufacturers. Entrants shall choose their manufacturer from a predetermined list of twenty-five (25) manufacturers.
This Competition follows on from the “FIA Certified Gran Turismo™ Championships 2020” Competition (EMEA Region) which took place between 25 April 2020 and 8August 2020. Details for each Championship are set out in Schedule 1 (Nations Cup) and Schedule 2 (Manufacturer Series), respectively.
2. Nations Cup Entrants:
a. Three (3) Entrants from Oceania in the Asia/Oceania Region who participated in the “FIA Certified Gran Turismo™ Championships 2020” Competition (Oceania region) which took place between 25 April 2020 and 8 August 2020 will be invited to participate in Asia/Oceania Online Regional Finals.
b. One (1) place in the Online Regional Finals will be reserved for the top-ranking player from Oceania who takes part in the Extra Stage for the Nations Cup. The Extra Stage is open to all eligible Entrants.
The winner of the “GT World Tour 2020 – Sydney” Competition which took place on 14-16 February 2020 will be invited to participate in Online World Final of the Nations Cup.
3. Manufacturer Series Entrants:
a. Entrants selected from those who participated in the “FIA Certified Gran Turismo™ Championships 2020” Competition (Oceania Region) which took place between 25 April 2020 and 8 August 2020 will be invited to participate in Finals of the Manufacturer Series. See Schedule 2 for more details on selection. There are no Online Regional Finals for the Manufacturer Series.
4. Eligibility Requirements: the Competition is open to persons who meet the Minimum Age Requirement (as defined below) and who are residents of Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand (“Entrant Countries”) except employees, agents, contractors or consultants of the Promoter (as defined below) and their immediate families, the Promoter's associated companies and anyone else professionally connected with the Competition (“Entrants”). The Entrant Countries together form the ASIA/OCEANIA Region.
5. The minimum age requirement is 18 years to those Entrants who are residents of Australia and New Zealand (the “Minimum Age Requirement”).
6. Entrants may be required to provide documentary proof of their eligibility to enter the Competition. If an Entrant is unable to provide this proof when requested, the Promoter may disqualify that Entrant from the Competition and/or withhold their Prize.
7. The Competition starts on 15 October 2020 at 06:00 GMT/16:00 AEST ("Opening Date") and ends on 6 December 2020 at 23:59 GMT/09:59 AEST ("Closing Date"). See Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 for more information. The period from the Opening Date to and including the Closing Date shall be referred to as the “Competition Period”.
8. In order to enter the Competition, Nations Cup and Manufacturer Series Entrants must: (1) complete the GT Sport Mode registration form which shall be presented to Entrants who select the ‘Sport Mode’ within the Game; (2) select, during the Competition Period, the Championship events they wish to compete for prior to the commencement of each race; and (3) accept the Terms of the Competition. Each Entrant who follows these steps will be deemed to have made an “Entry”.
9. Entrants must enter the Competition in the manner and by the Closing Date and time specified. Failure to do so will disqualify that Entry.
10. The Competition is free to enter, and no purchase of any kind is necessary, but Entrants must own or have access to a PlayStation®4 console and a copy of Gran Turismo™ Sport for PlayStation®4 (“Game”). Entrants must be active PlayStation®Plus members during the Competition Period. By entering the Competition, Entrants accept and will be bound by these terms and conditions, including the terms set out in Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 (“Terms”).
11. These Terms (as defined below) apply to those Entrants who are residents of Australia and New Zealand.
12. Entrants will be required to enter the Competition using their account for PlayStation™Network (“PSN”). Entrants’ country of residence will be deemed to be the country registered to their account for PSN. Registration for PSN is subject to acceptance of the PSN Terms of Service and PSN Privacy Policy (http://www.playstation.com/en-au/legal/).
13. PlayStation®Plus (“PS Plus”) membership is only available to individuals who have accounts for PSN with access to PlayStation™Store (“PS Store”) and high-speed internet. PSN, PS Store and PS Plus are subject to terms of use and country and language restrictions; PS Plus content and services vary by subscriber age. Users must be 7 years or older and users under 18 require parental consent, except that users in Germany must be 18 years or older. Service availability is not guaranteed. Online features of specific games may be withdrawn on reasonable notice - eu.playstation.com/gameservers. PS Plus membership is continuous and will be billed monthly, quarterly, or annually, depending on the subscription purchased at the then current PS Store price, unless cancelled. Free trials of PS Plus roll into a monthly subscription unless cancelled. Full terms apply: PSN Terms of Service at http://www.playstation.com/en-au/legal/.
14. It is prohibited for Entrant(s) to create duplicate accounts in order to compete, to increase their chances of qualifying or progressing through the Competition or to disrupt another Entrant’s performance during a race. It is also prohibited to have someone else competing on behalf of an Entrant, and to intentionally exchange positions during a race. In such events, the Promoter reserves its right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify such Entrant(s).
15. Competition winners are defined in Schedule 1 (Nations Cup) and Schedule 2 (Manufacturer Series) in accordance with the relevant Championship mechanic (each a “Winner”). Competition runners-up are defined in Schedule 1 (Nations Cup) and Schedule 2 (Manufacturer Series) in accordance with the relevant Championship mechanic (each a “Runner-Up”).
16. Prizes are as defined in Schedule 1 (Nations Cup) and Schedule 2 (Manufacturer Series), as applicable, and must be taken as stated and may not be deferred, transferred or re-sold. There will be no cash alternatives; however, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute any Prize with a prize of a similar value. Unless specified otherwise, Prizes will not include transfers, spending money and other expenses (including meals or personal expenses, upgrades etc.) as the case may be, all of which will be the sole responsibility of a Winner. If any aspect of the Prize involves overseas travel, the Winner will be responsible for ensuring that they are available to travel and hold valid passports and any necessary visas and any other type of travel documentation required for the trip in question on the relevant travel dates. If a Winner is unable to produce the required travel documentation for the relevant travel dates, the Promoter may disqualify that Winner from the Competition and/or withhold their Prize.
17. Each Winner and each Runner-Up may be required to pay tax on any Prize won in accordance with their jurisdiction’s tax legislation and will be responsible for any related tax liability.
18. Failure to claim a Prize by the time or in the manner specified will make a Winner’s claim invalid and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the Prize to the next eligible Entrants selected in accordance with the Terms. Where the Prize is time critical and a Winner needs to be found before the time to take up the Prize passes, the Terms may state the date on which the Winner will be contacted and the Promoter will contact such Winner at the email address provided by the Winner in the GT Sport mode registration form for the relevant Championship. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the Winner(s). If a Winner cannot be contacted or successful contact is not made on the specified date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the Prize to the next eligible Entrants selected in accordance with the Terms. Unless otherwise specified, if the Prize is not claimed by the Winner in the manner and by any specified date, the Promoter is not obliged to award the Prize to the next eligible Entrant.
19. The Promoter cannot accept any responsibility for any Competition entry, or any other correspondence related to the Competition, being lost or not being properly registered whatsoever as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted.
20. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury which an Entrant suffers as a direct or indirect result of the Prize and/or the Competition. However, the Promoter makes no attempt to exclude or limit its liability for death or personal injury caused as a result of its negligence.
21. All conditions, warranties and representations expressed or implied by law or otherwise in relation to the Prize and/or the Competition are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
22. If any Prize is found to be ineffective, faulty or damaged upon receipt, the Promoter must be notified in writing within seven (7) days of receipt, otherwise the Prize will be deemed to be accepted as received. This does not affect a Winner’s and/or a Runner-Up’s statutory rights (if any).
23. Each Winner and Runner-Up agrees to take part in any reasonable publicity required by the Promoter. To opt-out of such publicity, the Winner or Runner-Up should notify the Promoter.
24. Personal information which Entrants provide when they enter will be held and used only by the Promoter, its group companies, and its suppliers and contractors to administer the Competition and otherwise in accordance with the Privacy Policy which can be found at: https://www.playstation.com/en-au/legal/privacy-policy/ and as expressly agreed by an Entrant.
25. The Promoter may, at its sole discretion, publish each Winner’s and each Runner-Up’s name on the Promoter’s website(s). Each Winner’s and each Runner-Up’s name will be made available on reasonable request to those individuals enclosing a self-addressed envelope marked ‘FIA Gran Turismo™ Championships 2020’ to the following address: Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc., 1-7-1 Konan, Minato-ku, Tokyo, 108-0075 Japan within six (6) weeks of the Closing Date. If a Winner or Runner-Up objects to their name being published or made available, please contact the Promoter. Please note that the Promoter may be required to provide this information to a regulator.
26. In the event of any dispute, the Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
27. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the Competition, in its entirety or in part, or amend these Terms at any stage if deemed necessary in its opinion or if circumstances arise outside its control.
28. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms or incorrect, illegible, fraudulent or other invalid or improper information has been provided, the Promoter may in its sole discretion refuse to process an entry or fulfil any Prize awarded. If an Entrant fails to comply with these Terms, including Schedule 1 and/or Schedule 2, or uses multiple accounts and/or any automated system to enter, they will be excluded from the Competition and their Entry will be declared void.
29. The “Promoter” is: Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc., 1-7-1 Konan, Minato-ku, Tokyo, 108-0075 Japan.
30. To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. The Courts of New South Wales, Australia shall have jurisdiction in the event of a dispute or any issue relating to these Terms and/or the Competition.
Schedule 1 – Nations Cup 2020 (Part 2)
1.2 Nations Cup shall be online only and will consist of the following:
1.2.1 Extra Stage;
1.2.2 Online Regional Final; and the
1.2.3 Online World Final.

1. Extra Stage
1.1. Entrants who are not selected to participate in the Asia-Oceania Regional Final through their results of the “FIA Certified Gran Turismo™ Championships 2020” Competition (Oceania Region) which took place between 25 April 2020 and 8 August 2020 can participate in the Extra Stage to secure a place in the Asia-Oceania Online Regional Finals.
1.2. Between 15 October 2020 at 07:00 GMT and 25 October 2020 at 23:00 GMT Entrants may take part in a time trial as many times as they wish with the aim to get the fastest lap time. All Entrants will be competing against each other in the same car, track and track conditions. Entrants will be able to check where they rank against others via a leader board.
1.3. Following the end of the Extra Stage, one (1) top-ranking Entrant from Oceania in the Asia-Oceania Region shall proceed to the Asia-Oceania Online Regional Final.
1.4. NB: Nations Cup Invited Entrants (defined below) may not participate in the Extra Stage.
2. OnlineRegional Final
2.1. The Online Regional Final for the Asia-Oceania Region will take place on Saturday 14 November between 07:00 and 23:59 JST
2.2. Three (3) Entrants who participated in the “FIA Certified Gran Turismo™ Championships 2020” Competition (Oceania Region) which took place between 25 April 2020 and 8 August and were ranked in the top three of the Nations Cup Online Series Stages 1 to 3 from the Oceania region will be invited to participate in Online Regional Final (“Nations CupInvited Entrants”). One (1) place in the Asia-Oceania Online Regional Finals is reserved for the top-ranking Entrant from Oceania who takes part in the Extra Stage for the Nations Cup. Together the “Online Regional Finalists”.
2.3. There shall be a maximum of four (4) Online Regional Finalists per Entrant Country (the “Country Cap”) from Oceania and a maximum of ten (10) Online Regional Finalists per Entrant Country (the “Country Cap”) from Asia. Where an Entrant is ranked lower than the country cap, the next highest-ranking Entrant from a different Entrant Country shall advance to the Online Regional Final for the Asia-Oceania Region.
2.4. In the event that an Online Regional Finalist is unable to attend the Online Regional Final, the Online Regional Finalist with the next highest Online Ranking may be invited to become an Online Regional Finalist and shall be notified as such by the Promoter, or by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter.
2.5. Online Regional Finalists will:
· participate in a series of online races in Gran Turismo™ Sport, which will be defined by the Promoter and communicated to the Online Regional Finalists via email no later than one (1) week prior to the event by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
· wear clothes/gloves provided by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
· display decoration elements provided by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
· participate in test sessions if required by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
· participate in the races with driver cameras provided by Polyphony Digital Inc on behalf of the Promoter and take part in any other content related activities such as video chat interview sessions if required by Polyphony Digital Inc, on behalf of the Promoter
· refrain from communicating about the online races without explicit consent from Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter (including, but not limited to: streaming the races, distributing results, etc…)
· follow guidelines provided by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter regarding car liveries, driver liveries, car colour selection and other race related settings
· use a Thrustmaster T-GT steering wheel and pedal set
2.6. Online Regional Finalists shall be awarded points based on their ranking in each race. The points earned by each Entrant shall be attributed to their score. The Online Regional Finalists with the highest total number of points after all races have taken place shall be the Winner of the Asia/Oceania Online Regional Final.
2.7. Points towards the Online World Finals standing will be awarded to the winner and runners-up of the Asia/Oceania Online Regional Final according to their final position, as follows:
1st place: 8 points, 2nd place: 7 points, 3rd place: 6 points, 4th place: 5 points, 5th place: 4 points, 6th place: 3 points, 7th place: 2 points, 8th place: 1 point.
2.8. Points towards the Online World Finals standing will be awarded to the winner and runners-up of the Gran Turismo World Tour Sydney of 15th-17th of February according to their final position, as follows:
1st place: 3 points, 2nd place: 2 points, 3rd place: 1 point
2.9. Winners and runners-up of the Online Regional Final will win: 1st place: a Trophy, 2nd place: a Trophy, 3rd place: a Trophy
2.10. The Promoter, and/or Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter, will contact Winners and Runners-Up at the email address provided by them in the GT Sport mode registration form for the Nations Cup.
3. Online World Final
3.1. The Online World Final, an online event, shall take place on Saturday, 5th of December 2020.
3.2. The Nations Cup winner of Sydney World Tour 2020 which took place on “GT World Tour 2020 – Sydney” Competition will be invited to participate in Online World Final (“World Tour Invited Entrant”). The World Tour Invited Entrant will be joined by the 15 Entrants who achieved the highest Online Ranking during the Online Regional Final for the EMEA Region, Asia and Oceania Region and the Americas Region, as follows: Top 8 Ranked from EMEA Online Regional Finals, Top 4 Ranked from Americas Online Regional Finals and Top 3 Ranked from Asia-Oceania Online Regional Finals. Together the “Online World Finalists”.
3.3. In the event that an Online World Finalist is unable to attend the Online World Final, the Online World Finalist with the next highest Online Ranking may be invited to become an Online World Finalist and shall be notified as such by the Promoter, or by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter.
3.4. Online World Finalists will:
· participate in a series of online races in Gran Turismo™ Sport, which will be defined by the Promoter and communicated to the Online Regional Finalists via email no later than one (1) week prior to the event by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
· wear clothes/gloves provided by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
· display decoration elements provide by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
· participate in test sessions if required by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
· participate in the races with driver cameras provided by Polyphony Digital Inc on behalf of the Promoter and take part in any other content related activities such as video chat interview sessions if required by Polyphony Digital Inc, on behalf of the Promoter
· refrain from communicating about the online races without explicit consent from Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter (including, but not limited to: streaming the races, distributing results, etc…)
· follow guidelines provided by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter regarding car liveries, driver liveries, car colour selection and other race related settings
· use a Thrustmaster T-GT steering wheel and pedal set
3.5. Online World Finalists will participate in a series of races. Points will be awarded according to results of these races. Taking into account points carried over from Sydney World Tour and/or Online Regional Finals, a final ranking will determine winners and runners-up.
3.6. Winners of the Online World Final will win a trophy for each of the top 3 ranked in Nations Cup and a trophy for each member of top 3 ranked Manufacturer teams.
3.7. The Promoter, and/or Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter, shall provide information relating to the Online World Final to the Online World Finalists by email to the email address provided by the Entrant in the GT Sport mode registration form for the Nations Cup.
4. Broadcasts of the Online Regional Final and the Online World Final
4.1. By entering this Competition, Entrants confirm that they will permit the Promoter, and/or Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter, to include footage of their gameplay and their image/likeness in broadcasts of the Online Regional Finals and the Online World Final and social media or blog posts connected to the Competition and subsequent years’ Gran Turismo Championships worldwide. To withdraw this consent, contact the Promoter.
4.2. By entering this Competition, Entrants confirm they will not communicate about the Competition, including, but not limited to, communicating results, distributing images/video of the races, streaming the races, etc...
Schedule 2 – Manufacturer Series 2020 (Part 2)
1. Manufacturer Series
1.1 Manufacturer Series shall be online only and will consist of the following: Online World Final.
2. Selection of Online World Finalists
2.1. The selection of World Tour Finalists and World Finalists is determined by a combination of the following criteria:
2.1.1. top-scoring Entrants (the “Representative Drivers”);
2.1.2. the Top 12 Manufacturers (selected in accordance with paragraph 2.3);
2.1.3. the three Representative Regions (as defined in paragraph 2.6).
2.2. A total of three (3) Online World Finalists (as applicable) will be selected to represent each manufacturer at the Online World Final (as applicable); each from a Representative Region.
2.3. A total of twelve (12) manufacturers will compete in the Online World Final selected according to the following criteria (in order of precedence) (the “Top 12 Manufacturers”):
2.3.1. the Competition’s official Manufacturer Partner or “Works Team”; and
2.3.2. the Global Manufacturer Ranking (as defined in paragraph 3.4 below).
Following the end of the Manufacturer Series Online Series (which formed part of the “FIA Certified Gran Turismo™ Championships 2020” Competition (Oceania Region) and took place 25 April 2020 and 8 August 2020), a “Global Manufacturer Ranking” was created.
2.4. At the end of each Stage, the Regional Manufacturer Ranking is determined for all five (5) Regions defined in the Manufacturer Series Online Series. The three (3) Regions with the highest Regional Manufacturer Rankings for each Manufacturer will be tallied to determine the “Global Manufacturer Ranking”:

2.5. The top three (3) Regions to have scored the highest Regional Manufacturer Ranking (each a “Representative Region”) for each of the Top 12 Manufacturers will proceed to the Online World Finals.
2.6. If two or more Representative Drivers from different manufacturers are tied with an equal number of points at the end of a Round, then the Manufacturer Ranking Points assigned to their manufacturers will be divided and assigned equally.
2.7. If two or more manufacturers are tied in the Global Manufacturer Ranking with an equal number of points, the following criteria will then be applied to determine which manufacturer is to proceed:
a) the manufacturer with the highest Manufacturer Ranking Points across all five Regions;
b) the manufacturer with the highest Manufacturer Ranking Points across all five Regions and all Rounds; and;
c) if still tied, then the manufacturer with the highest number of entries for that manufacturer registered at the end of the relevant Stage of this Manufacturer Series.
2.8. If two or more Regions are tied with an equal number of points in the Global Manufacturer Ranking, the following criteria will then be applied to determine which Region is to proceed:
a) the Region with the highest Manufacturer Ranking Points across all Rounds; and
b) if still tied, then the Region with the highest Manufacturer Ranking Points in a single Round; and
c) if still tied, then the Region with the Representative Driver who scored the highest points.
2.9. In the event that an Online World Finalist is unable to attend the Online World Final, the Entrant representing the same Manufacturer with the highest Stage score from the Region with the next highest-ranking points may be invited to become an Online World Finalist and shall be notified as such by the Promoter, or Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter. If a replacement is not found within the 4th and 5th placed Region, then the Entrant representing the same Manufacturer with the next highest Stage score from the Region of the Entrant originally unable to attend will be selected.
2.10. Online World Finalists shall be notified of their selection by 28 November 2020.
3. Online World Final
3.1. Online World Finalists will:
3.1.1.participate in a series of online races in Gran Turismo™ Sport, which will be defined by the Promoter and communicated to the Online Regional Finalists via email no later than one (1) week prior to the event by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
3.1.2.wear clothes/gloves provided by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
3.1.3.display decoration elements provide by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
3.1.4.participate in test sessions if required by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
3.1.5.refrain from communicating about the online races without explicit consent from Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter (including, but not limited to: streaming the races, distributing results, etc…
3.1.6.follow guidelines provided by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter regarding car liveries, driver liveries, car colour selection and other race related settings
3.1.7.use a Thrustmaster T-GT steering wheel and pedal set
3.2. Online Regional Finalists will participate in a series of races. Points will be awarded according to results of these races
3.3. The standings of points for each Manufacturer team will determine the winning Manufacturer team and runners-up.
3.4. Points towards the Online World Finals standing will be awarded to the winning Manufacturer team and runners-up of the Gran Turismo World Tour Sydney of 15th-17th of February according to their final position, as follows:
1st place: 3 points, 2nd place: 2 points, 3rd place: 1 point
3.5. Winners of the Online World Final will win: a trophy for each of the 3 members of 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed Manufacturer teams
3.6. The Promoter, and/or Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter, shall provide information relating to the Online World Final to the Online World Finalists by email to the email address provided by the Entrant in the GT Sport mode registration form for the Manufacturer Series.
4. Broadcasts of the Online Regional Final and the Online World Final
4.1.
