How to use PlayStation App to manage account Privacy Settings

This article explains how to use PlayStation App to change Privacy Settings so you can choose who can view your activity, and who can or cannot contact you on PlayStation Network.

The settings that can be changed include the following:

How do I change privacy settings?

  1. Access PlayStation App. (More information about the app. and how to install it for Android and iPhone here: PlayStation App.)
  2. Tap on your avatar (top right of screen). Note: you need to be signed in to PSN.

  1. From the drop down menu select [Profile]
  2. From the profile screen select [Privacy Settings]
  1. You should now see the Privacy Settings management screen where there are four privacy options set out in the same way as they are on your PlayStation.

Select who you would like to be able to see your personal information and PSN activity, or who can and cannot find you or send you messages.

Note: If you are a master account holder you cannot set parental controls on your associated sub accounts to limit the options listed above. Privacy Settings can only be changed through the sub account itself.
