Edit PSN security settings on PS4 and web browser

Learn how to change your PSN mobile number and set up a security question using your PS4 or a web browser.

If you would like to keep your account secure, please register a mobile number and security question. Once you have registered a mobile number, you will be able to activate 2-Step Verification. The security question and answer will allow you to recover your account if you ever lose access.

You can only activate or deactivate 2-Step Verification (2SV) using a PS4 or via account management on a web browser.

If you have lost access to your 2SV-registered mobile phone, attempt to sign in to your account on a PS4 or a web browser and change your security settings.

If this fails, please contact us to prove your identity and regain access to your account.
