PS4: Managing your games and apps

How to organise your content to make it easier to find.

System software update 4.0 added some extra functions to help you keep your content tidy. This article explains how these features work.

You can now place your games and apps in folders and organise them any way you like. This will help keep your Library and Content Launcher tidy.

To create a folder:

  1. From the Content Launcher or [Library], highlight a game you want to place in a folder. Press the Options button on your DualShock 4 Controller and select [Add to Folder].
  1. Select [Add to New Folder] or [Add to Existing Folder].
  2. Name your folder and choose [Select] to add other content.
  1. Your new folder will appear on the Content Launcher. A maximum of three titles is shown with a folder icon.

You can add additional games, change the folder name, and the order of the games listed by highlighting the folder, pressing the Options button on the DualShock 4 Controller and selecting edit folder.

Your Library is divided into a number of sub categories to make it easier to find content:

Anything downloaded to your PS4 is shown in [Games] or [Applications]. This includes content owned by other users on the system, so you may find locked content listed here as well.

Anything that you have bought from PlayStation Store, but have not downloaded to your PS4 can be found in [Purchased]. This is where you can go to re-download anything that you have previously deleted from your system.

You can also sort by date or alphabetically to help you find what you’re looking for more easily.
