Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce is a game unlike any other in the long running franchise. Until now, the Dynasty Warriors experience pitted a lone warrior against thousands of battle hardened enemies determined to take him or her down. For the first time in a Dynasty Warriors game, up to four friends can join together to form the ultimate team, a Strikeforce. Working as a foursome, players plan co-ordinated assaults to conquer massive armed fortresses and hulking beasts.
Choose your kingdom
With immense castles, towers and ships serving as the settings for these gruelling quests, the lighting-fast action will go where it has never gone before - high up in the skies above. Gifted with new supernatural abilities, characters streak across the open skies battling enemies like never before at high altitude. With both single and multiplayer quests, Dynasty Warriors features new air fighting techniques and a set of deep character customisation options guaranteed to keep you coming back for more.
Players can choose a warrior from one of the three kingdoms of Wu, Wei, or Shu at the outset of Strikeforce. From there, the story unfolds until one of the kingdoms which you have chosen occupies all of China. To do this, you must do battle with Zhang Jiao of the Yellow Turbans, before moving on to Dong Zhuo, and Lu Bu, a warrior who betrayed Dong Zhuo.
When you start the game, your base of operations is a busy village where you can check notice boards which feature mission details, purchase weapons, visit the blacksmith and interact with a variety of characters that can aid you on your quest for total domination. As you progress through each mission you collect and amass numerous valuables dotted around the areas you explore. Once you've gathered enough you can use these to then modify any one of the 250 weapons you might have in your arsenal.
Unleash the fury
Each warrior has their own primary weapon with a secondary, sometimes long-range one on hand for tougher battles where you might need to keep some distance between you and your opponent. As you do battle and take damage a meter located under your health bar slowly begins to fill up. Once it's full, this triggers Strikeforce's Fury Mode, which in turn enhances your speed and allows you to take to the skies for some aerial combat.
Each of the story quests can be played on your own or with up to three friends in the deeply immersive multiplayer mode. In some cases, certain missions may be extremely tough to complete on a solo play, while with the help of three of your friends you can collaborate on the battlefield and take down hardened bosses and enemies with ease. Once you have done this, you can then join forces in teams of two and face off against each other in two versus two formations for the ultimate close quarter combat showdown.
Featuring hundreds of weapons, huge bosses, hordes of enemies, myriad collectables and a multilayered leveling up system, Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce jams in hours of fast, fun and frantic action for both fans of action games on PSP and the acclaimed Dynasty Warriors series.
