If you forget your PlayStation Network (PSN) password, you can reset it from the web or on your PlayStation console.
If you have access to a PS4 that you have activated as your primary PS4, you can reset your password in a couple of clicks—all you need is access to your sign-in ID (email address):

If you received an email telling you that PlayStation Network or Sony Entertainment Network has reset your password, this is nothing to worry about. Passwords are regularly reset in order to ensure that accounts are kept secure. Just follow the instructions on this page to reset your password.
If the email doesn't state that the reset was started by PlayStation Network or Sony Entertainment Network, someone else might be trying to access your account. We recommend that you complete the following steps to secure your account:
Change the password on your email account. If you have problems doing this, please contact your email provider as soon as possible.

You need to be able to verify your identity in order to reset your password—this is to keep your account safe.
If you can't provide the verification information that was entered when the account was set up or open the password reset email, you'll need to contact us.
Only a family manager can reset the password for a child account. Ask the family manager to sign in to Account Management on a web browser.
From the PS5 home screen, ask your family manager to select Settings > Family and Parental Controls > Family Management.
From this menu they can select your local user and select Reset Password.
