Enabling 2SV on your SEN account.

 
 
  • What is 2-Step Verification (2SV)?

    2-Step Verification adds an extra layer of account security. This helps protect your account because a Verification Code, which is needed to access your account, is sent to your authorised mobile phone every time you sign in.

How to activate 2SV

It only takes a minute to make your account more secure by activating 2SV.

  1. Go to https://id.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/id/management/#/p/security and login with your SEN account Sign-in ID (email address) and password.

 

 

  1. Select [Edit] next to Status.

 

  1. Select [Activate] > [Continue].
  2. Input your Mobile phone number. We’ll text you a Verification Code.

 

  1. Enter the Verification Code.

 

  1. Your mobile number is now verified to receive 2SV texts and 2SV is activated.
  • Sign-in after 2SV has been switched on

    1. Sign-in with your account sign-in ID and password. We’ll send you a Verification Code.
    2. Enter the Verification Code.

    Follow these steps for signing in to any PlayStation or Sony Entertainment Network sites and your PS4 system.

    If you want to sign in on another PlayStation system you’ll need a device set-up password.

  • How to deactivate 2SV

    1. Go to https://id.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/id/management/#/p/security and sign-in. We’ll send you a Verification Code.
    2. Enter the Verification Code.
    3. Next to [Status], select [Edit] > [Deactivate].

     

    1. 2SV is now switched off on all your devices.
  • Managing mobile numbers

    You can add up to two mobile numbers to your account and choose one to receive 2SV texts.

    To add a mobile number:

    1. Go to https://id.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/id/management/#/p/security and sign-in.
    2. We’ll send you a Verification Code if 2SV is activated.
    3. Enter the Verification Code.
    4. Select [Edit] > [Add a Mobile Phone].

     

    1. Input your Mobile phone number and select [Continue]. We’ll send you a verification code SMS.

     

    1. Enter the Verification Code.

     

    1. Your mobile number is now authorised to receive 2SV texts.

    To remove a mobile number:

    1. Go to the [Account] tab and select [Security].
    2. In the Mobile Phones section select [Edit].
    3. Select the mobile number you want to remove and select [Remove].

    To switch the number that you’ve authorised to receive 2SV texts deactivate 2SV and then activate it.

  • Error message - This email address is already associated with another Sony group service

    Unfortunately, you can't sign-in to other Sony group services with 2SV. This means that if you have linked your PSN Sign-in ID (Email Address) to another Sony group service, you cannot switch on 2SV for signing into PSN. This is so we can make sure you can access all of your Sony accounts.
