How to recover your account for PlayStation Network

If you lose access to your passkey or PlayStation™Network (PSN) password, you can recover your account online or on your console.

How to recover an account with a passkey

If you have access to an active passkey, you can sign in and manage the passkeys on your account. For example, if you lost your phone, but have another device with your passkey registered on it, then you can sign in to Account Management using that device and then register a new passkey.

If you don’t  have access to a valid passkey, you need to recover your account.

How to reset a PSN password

  1. Go to the Account Management sign-in page and select Trouble Signing in? > Reset your password and enter your sign-in ID (email address).
  2. You are sent an email containing a secure link. The verification email can take a few minutes to arrive.
  1. Follow the secure link in the email, fill in the requested information, and create a new password using a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
