Using a wired connection
For the ultimate experience, we recommend that you set up a wired connection via a LAN cable to the same network as your PS4. This will give you the fastest and most stable connection.
Using a wireless connection
If you would like to try a wireless set-up, ensure you follow these handy hints:
- Place your PS4 and PS TV systems as close as possible to your Wi-Fi access point – this will give you the best signal.
- Limit the use of network-connected smartphones, tablets and PCs while using Remote Play – they can slow your network and reduce signal strength.
- If your wireless signal is weak and you cannot use a LAN cable, you may want to consider upgrading your wireless router to one with a stronger signal to improve the network quality. A wireless amplifier can also improve the strength of your wireless signal.
- Connect your PS4 directly to PS TV. The quality of your Remote Play experience can be improved by connecting the two systems directly. Open the “Settings” menu on your PS4 and choose “Remote Play Connection Settings”; then tick the “Connect Directly with PS TV” box.
