Problems making PlayStation Store purchases on a sub account

This article explains problems you may experience when making purchases on PlayStation Store using your associated master account’s wallet funds and how to resolve them.

If you have a master account or have recently upgraded from a sub accounts please see the master account version of this article for help.

Sub accounts do not have wallets attached to them. This means that you cannot use the following payment methods to add funds to your account:

  • Credit or debit cards
  • PayPal
  • Mobile billing

It also means that you cannot purchase automatically renewing subscription services as you usually need to add a credit or debit card to your SEN account when you sign up.
