How to use your PlayStation Portable to delete card details

This article explains how to use your PSP to remove your credit or debit card details from your master account.

Why should I remove my payment information from my account?

Funds added to your wallet cannot be refunded to your credit or debit card in line with the PlayStation Store Cancellation Policy.

If other people can access Account Management or PlayStation Store through your master account on any device they may be able to use your payment methods to top up the wallet attached to it.

If you think that your account is not secure, or if someone else has your PlayStation system for any reason (for example you have sent it away for service or it has been stolen), we recommend deleting your payment details and changing your account password.

How do I delete my payment details?

Payment details are attached to the account, not the device, so removing them on one device will remove them from your account on all devices.

  1. Go to [PlayStation Network] > [Sign-in] > [Account Management] > [Account Information] > [Billing Information].
  2. Enter your password.
  3. Select 'Delete Billing Information' at the bottom of the screen and press (X button).
  4. A dialogue box will appear to check that you are sure you want to remove your billing information. Highlight 'Yes' and press (X button).
  5. You will see a message confirming that your billing information has been removed.
